Muslim Council of Elders Secretary-General and former Malaysian Minister of Religious Affairs visit UAE embassy in Kuala Lumpur to pay respects to the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan

The Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders (MCE) Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam and former Malaysian Minister of Religious Affairs and MCE member, Senator Datuk Dr. Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri, visited the United Arab Emirates' embassy in Kuala Lumpur to pay their respects to the late UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.


During the visit, the pair were received by His Excellency Khalid Ghanim Alghaith, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Malaysia. Judge Abdelsalam and Senator Al-Bakri paid their respects and offered their condolences to the United Arab Emirates and its people for the passing of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and also congratulated His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his election to the office of UAE president.


The Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders is in Malaysia for a brief visit, where he is scheduled to meet a number of religious and political leaders in the Southeast Asian nation to discuss potential cooperation and ways to promote the values of coexistence and human fraternity.
