The ‘Sawt Al-Azhar’ newspaper has published an article by His Eminence Dr Ahmed El-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders under the title “Mercy to the World” where he revealed that single goal of Prophet Muhammed’s (Peace be Upon Him) message is mercy for the entire world and to lift it from chaos, confusion and darkness.

His Eminence also noted that celebrating the Prophet’s birthday resembles celebrating the birth of a nation created by the holy Prophet which is based on the highest moral standings and virtues as well as the call for what is good and resisting evil. It must also be noted that through the teachings of Islam’s Prophet, Muslims contributed greatly to humanity through justice, freedom and prosperity.

The Grand Imam also stressed that the Prophet’s birthday (Peace and Blessings upon Him) is a mercy and blessing for mankind, and that his message was a divine call for the entire universe.
