Muslim Council of Elders Strongly Condemns Terrorist Attack Targeting City of Smara in Morocco
The Muslim Council of Elders, under the chairmanship of His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, strongly condemns the terrorist attack that targeted the city of Smara in the Kingdom of Morocco, which resulted in the injury of one person.
The Council reaffirms its categorical rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism that seek to destabilize nations, undermine their security and stability, and terrorize innocent civilians.
The Muslim Council of Elders expresses its solidarity with the Kingdom of Morocco — its leadership, government, and people — in safeguarding its security, stability, territorial integrity, and national sovereignty. It stresses that targeting any country’s security and stability contradicts the tolerant teachings of Islam, all divine religions, universal human values, and international laws and conventions.
