Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders: The Abrahamic Family House is a global hub for dialogue, peace and coexistence

The Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam has affirmed that the recently inaugurated Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi is now a global hub for dialogue, peace, and coexistence, which will bring people from different backgrounds closer together while preserving the distinct identity for each religion.

Judge Abdelsalam reaffirmed that the Abrahamic Family House reflects the UAE’s role in promoting communication, dialogue and fraternity for a better world which is further inspired by the Abu Dhabi Document on Human Fraternity which was co-signed by His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders alongside His Holiness Pope Francis, Pontiff of the Catholic Church in 2019.

The Abrahamic Family House was opened at the Saadiyat Cultural District, on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi and will feature three places of worship; the Imam Al-Tayeb Mosque, St. Francis Church, and Moses Ben Maimon Synagogue. The site also includes a cultural center that will promote the values of mutual respect and peaceful coexistence while the unique character of each faith is preserved.
