Under the Chairmanship of the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Muslim Council of Elders extends its sincere solidarity with Rohingya Muslims for the victims of the fire that occurred in a refugee camp in Bangladesh.

The Muslim Council of Elders calls on the international community to provide urgent support and assistance to those affected by this incident who have been left with no homes.

The Council calls on international organizations to urgently end the suffering of the Rohingya Muslims who have fled ethnic cleansing and genocide in their homeland. Mat Allah Almighty accept the victims of the fire with His mercy and grant the injured a speedy recovery.
