The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb has exchanged congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr with His Majesty the King of Bahrain, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, during a phone call. The pair prayed to Almighty Allah to bless the Arab and Muslim worlds as well as humanity with goodness, blessings, and peace.
The Grand Imam expressed Al-Azhar's appreciation for the relationship that links it and the Muslim Council of Elders with the Kingdom of Bahrain. He also praised the efforts of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in promoting the values of dialogue and coexistence, and called on Almighty Allah to always guide His Majesty in serving Islam and Muslims and to maintain security, safety, and stability in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
For his part, King Hamad expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Grand Imam in presenting the true image of the Islam and promoting fraternity, coexistence, and peace. He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant His Eminence good health and make him a great benefit to the Islamic world.
