24 April
On the occasion of the International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace, celebrated by the United Nations on April 24 of each year, the Muslim Council of Elders reaffirms that diversity is a universal norm as well as differences in religion, color, gender, race, and language, which are wisdom for the divine will. Almighty Allah created humans on this basis and made it a stable foundation from which rights, freedom of belief, differences, and the criminalization of compelling people to a specific religion, culture, or civilization that others do not accept, branch out.
Under the Chairmanship of His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, the Muslim Council of Elders, has made conserted efforts to promote dialogue and coexistence among all people, believing that diversity and accepting others are fundamental pillars in enhancing peace and coexistence. Allah Almighty says, "O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another."
On this occasion, the Council calls for the promotion of the values of diversity and accepting and respecting others, and that this should be the starting point for dialogue among different religions, cultures, and civilizations, for a world in which everyone enjoys peace, security, and stability.
