On World Youth Skills Day - The Muslim Council of Elders emphasizes the importance of honing the skills of youth and harnessing their potential to lead nations
The Muslim Council of Elders, under the chairmanship of His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, emphasizes the importance of believing in the capabilities of youth, honing their skills, and harnessing their potential to help them lead nations towards a better future.
On World Youth Skills Day, which falls on July 15 of each year, the Muslim Council of Elders calls for the providing of scientific and intellectual qualifications to all young people, and to equip them with various noble values in order to grant them the opportunity for participation and freedom of expression. The Council also supports youth initiatives and constructive ideas, which contribute to the progress of societies.
Coinciding with World Youth Skills Day, the Muslim Council of Elders recently concluded the second edition of the Emerging Pacemakers Forum, which took place in Geneva, Switzerland, from July 6 to 14. The forum was a joint effort between the Muslim Council of Elders, the World Council of Churches, and the Rose Castle Foundation, with the aim of preparing a generation of young people capable of actively contributing to peacebuilding and promoting the values of dialogue, tolerance, and coexistence.
