Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders Meets Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence and Discuss Ways to Enhance Cooperation


The Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam has today met with His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence and discussed potential ways to enhance collaborative cooperation.


During the meeting, the Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, which is a fundamental partner for the Council in initiatives aimed at promoting dialogue and coexistence among different religions. He also affirmed that under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Kingdom of Bahrain presents a unique model of tolerance and mutual coexistence.


For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence praised the significant efforts led by the Muslim Council of Elders, under the chairmanship of His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar. He also commended the Council's role in promoting peace and its prominent role in showcasing the contributions of religious leaders in confronting global challenges. He also emphasized the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence's commitment to enhancing cooperation and partnership with the Muslim Council of Elders to achieve shared goals.
