Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders Receives Phone Call from Iraqi Prime Minister

His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, received a phone call from Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani, the Prime Minister of Iraq. The Iraqi Prime Minister expressed his best wishes to the Grand Imam and renewed the invitation for His Eminence to visit Iraq. The call also discussed the latest developments and efforts to cooperate in serving the Arab and Islamic worlds.

For his part, the Grand Imam expressed his appreciation to the Prime Minister of Iraq and the Iraqi people, praying to Almighty Allah to grant Iraq security, safety, peace, and stability. He also prayed that the wise leaders of Iraq would be successful in what is good for Iraq and help achieve its prosperity and renaissance. The Grand Imam also reiterated his anticipation to visit Iraq in the near future.
