The Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Elders has met Buddhist leader Bhante Dhammasubho Mahathera during an official visit in the Indonesian Capital Jakarta.
During the meeting, Dr. Al Remeithi said, "The Muslim world must use Indonesia's unique model of coexistence as a benchmark for cultural and religious harmony. It is important to note that Indonesia has led the way in establishing a healthy environment where tolerance and coexistence thrive between the followers of different religions."
For his part, Bhante Dhammasubho Mahathera praised the Muslim Council of Elders for their role in bridging the gap between different religious and cultural groups.
