Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders Visits the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department in Dubai and Discusses Ways to Enhance Mutual Cooperation

The Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam, visited the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department in Dubai and met with His Excellency Hamad Al Sheikh Ahmed Al Shaibani, Director General of the Department, along with several senior figures and advisors from the Department. Also in attendance were His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al Haddad, the Chief Mufti and Director of the Fatwa Department, a member of the Muslim Council of Elders, and His Excellency General Ahmed Khalfan Al Mansouri, Advisor for Communications at the Department.

During the meeting, the Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders emphasized the importance of the role played by the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department in Dubai and highlighted their sustainable projects that form a comprehensive proactive system as well as its interconnected services that contribute to enhancing religious awareness, advancing charitable work, mosque construction, Islamic tourism, and achieving communication with Muslims around the world.

For his part, the Director General of the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department in Dubai expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Muslim Council of Elders under the chairmanship of His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, in spreading values of human fraternity and emphasizing the importance of dialogue, citizenship, and addressing issues related to refugees and displaced individuals. He also praised the Council's inspiring initiatives aimed at enhancing the role of religious leaders in facing global challenges, particularly the climate crisis as well as promoting the true Islamid teachings, and emphasizing the role of youth in peacebuilding.
