President of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity expresses appreciation for His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s support for the endeavors and initiatives of the Muslim Council of Elders on the tenth anniversary of its establishment.
President of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity: The East-West convergence established by the Muslim Council of Elders is the key to success in confronting the dangers of hatred and isolation.
Dr. Mohamed Mahrasawi, President of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity and former President of Al-Azhar University, expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Muslim Council of Elders under the leadership of His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and President of the Council, as well as the efforts of His Excellency Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam, the Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, on the occasion of the Council's 10th anniversary.
Dr. Mahrasawi stated, "Today, we celebrate ten years of dedication and continuous efforts towards peace, strengthening the bonds of human fraternity and tolerance, engaging with global issues and challenges and promoting the role of religious leaders in confronting them, and promoting the values of dialogue and tolerance. The Council is committed to enhancing the role of leaders and wise figures of the Islamic nation in spreading moderate thought and engaging with the issues facing the nation. It is steadfast in its efforts to promote a culture of peace and reject violence and extremism."
President of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity and former President of Al-Azhar University expressed his appreciation for the significant support provided by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, President of the United Arab Emirates, for the initiatives of the Muslim Council of Elders, sponsoring its activities, and providing a suitable environment to achieve its goals. He confirmed that the Council includes among its members a group of the best scholars of the Islamic nation specializing in various fields, chaired by His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.
Dr. Mahrasawi also expressed his pride in the contributions of the Muslim Council of Elders in promoting global peace values, and his appreciation for the efforts of the Council's Secretary-General, Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam, in embedding the values of peace and tolerance through pioneering initiatives, especially in the fields of supporting and empowering Muslim youth. He confirmed that the joint cooperation established by the Council and its Secretary-General, and the convergence between the East and the West and different cultures, is the key to success in facing the dangers of hatred and isolation among parties, and in reinforcing human, ethical, and social responsibility among all. He prayed to God Almighty that He may benefit the world with the Muslim Council of Elders and grant it success in the future for the good of humanity in all corners of the earth.
