Amid a warm reception from Muslims in Thailand, His Eminence Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, performed Friday prayers at the Thailand Islamic Center at the beginning of his visit to the capital of Thailand, Bangkok.
The congregation, led by Shafi'i Abdulqadir, the Imam and preacher of the Islamic Center Mosque in Bangkok, eagerly welcomed the Grand Imam and took commemorative photos with him, expressing their immense happiness with this historic visit of the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders to their country.
Earlier today, the Grand Imam arrived in Bangkok, the second stop on his tour of Southeast Asia. The visit aims to strengthen connections with Muslims and promote the values of dialogue, tolerance, and coexistence.
