Muslim Council of Elders Strongly Condemns Knife Attack in Germany



The Muslim Council of Elders, under the chairmanship of His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, condemns the knife attack that occurred in the city of Solingen in western Germany during a festival celebrating the city’s 650-year history, which resulted in several deaths and injuries.


The Muslim Council of Elders reiterates its unequivocal rejection of all acts of terrorism and extremism, which contradict the teachings of religions, all divine laws, and international conventions and laws, and which aim to undermine security and stability.


The Council extends its deepest condolences to the government and people of Germany, as well as to the families and loved ones of the victims of this heinous crime. The Council prays that Allah Almighty grants them patience and solace and bestows swift recovery upon the injured.
