The Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Elders, Dr Sultan Al Remeithi along with the Secretary General of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity Mohamed Abdulsalm have today hosted the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the United Arab Emirates, Madiyar Menilbekov at the Council's headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, Ambassador Menilbekov praised the Muslim Council of Elders and the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity for their role in spreading the values of human fraternity and peace. He also commended the leadership of His Eminence Dr Ahmed El-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders for building bridges of dialogue and communication between different cultures and religions which was highlighted with the signing of the Human Fraternity Document along with His Holiness Pope Francis, Pope of the Catholic Church.
For his part, Dr Sultan Al Remeithi thanked the Ambassador of Kazakhstan and praised Kazakhstan's moderate values which have helped build a stronger working relationship between the Council and the Central Asian nation.
Mohamed Abdulsalam added, "Kazakhstan plays an instrumental role in countering extremist ideologies in Central Asia. The Higher Committee of Human Fraternity is looking forward to working with Kazakhstan to spread the value of human fraternity among the youth through various initiatives related to education and research."
