His Eminence Dr Ahmed El-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders sends his utmost condolences to the people of Kuwait for the passing of the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Sabah.

The Grand Imam reiterated that the late Emir was a wise leader who advocated for peace and dialogue among people while maintaining the rapid development of his nation as well as serving noble causes in the Muslim and Arab worlds, where he was affectionately known as the 'Emir of Humanity'.

The Grand Imam prayed to Almighty Allah to have mercy on the late Emir and accept him in paradise while giving the people and royal family of Kuwait patience and solace during these difficult times.
