His Eminence Dr Ahmed El-Tayeb Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders has arrived in the Capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, after performing the Umrah pilgrimage and visiting Al Masjid Al Nabawi in Medina.

Upon His Eminence’s arrival at King Khalid International Airport, he was greeted by His Excellency Dr Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al as-Sheikh, the Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance as well as a number of Islamic scholars and the Egyptian Deputy chief of mission in Saudi Arabia.

The Grand Imam is also scheduled to meet the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud along with a number of top Islamic scholars during his visit.
