The Muslim Council of Elders has registered strong sales for five of its publications on display at the International Publishing and Book Fair in the Moroccan capital Rabat.
Of these books is ‘Al Qawl Al Tayeb’ by His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders. The three-volume book highlights Islam’s tolerance as well as its role in establishing the values of coexistence, peace and human fraternity. The book also explores issues such as interreligious dialogue, terrorism, and various critical and sophisticated social matters.
The second of the fast-selling books at the International Publishing and Book Fair is ‘The Pope and the Grand Imam: A Thorny Path’ by the Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam. The book documents the birth of the Document on Human Fraternity which was co-signed by His Holiness Pope Francis and His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar on 4 February 2019 in Abu Dhabi. The book also chronicles the important role played by the United Arab Emirates and its President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in creating and supporting the Document on Human Fraternity.
Other featured books include ‘Methods of Critical Thinking’, a three-part series by Al-Azhar scholar Dr. Imad Khafaji along with ‘Al Luma’: Refuting Heresy’ by Imam Abu Al-Hassan Al-Ash’ari which is presented by His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council and reviewed by His Eminence Dr. Hassan Al Shafei, member of the Council of Senior Scholars at Al Azhar and the Muslim Council of Elders. Finally, ‘Tafsir Al Qur’an’ by Islamic theologian Ibn Furak rounds off the top 5 best-selling books at the Muslim Council of Elders stand at the International Publishing and Book Fair in Rabat.
This is set to the Council’s third participation at the International Publishing and Book Fair, which in turn comes as part of His Eminence the Gran Imam’s vision of promoting dialogue and spreading tolerance and peace around the world.
