Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders meets Kazakhstan's Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates

The Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam has met the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Arab Emirates Madyar Menelikov at the Council's headquarters in Abu Dhabi. 


During the meeting, the pair discussed possible cooperation opportunities and ways to coordinate efforts that promote peace, tolerance and human fraternity as well as ways of applying the values within the Document on Human Fraternity, in light of current global challenges.


Judge Abdelsalam praised the Republic of Kazakhstan's efforts in promoting coexistence and interreligious dialogue. For his part, the Kazakh Ambassador put forward a number of suggestions to improve cooperation between his country and the Council. He remarked that the Council had in the past had collaborated with the Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Inter-civilization dialogue as they share many strategic goals. Ambassador Menelikov also noted the annual Interfaith Dialogue Conference which will be held in the capital of Kazakhstan Nursultan and will feature religious figures from around the world as well as representatives from various international organizations.
