Under the Chairmanship of the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb the Muslim Council of Elders extends its deepest condolences to the nation of Sudan and its people for the lives lost as a result of torrential rainfall which has caused flooding in various parts of the country.

The Council reaffirms its solidarity with Sudan during this difficult period while calling for urgent support to help it overcome the impending humanitarian crisis. May Allah grant the families of the victims patience and afford the wounded a speedy recovery.
