Under the Chairmanship of the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Muslim Council of Elders extends its congratulations to the Arab and Muslim worlds for the Mawlid Al Nabawi (Prophet's Birthday). 

The Council reaffirms that the Prophet's birthday was an important and historic event for humanity as Prophet Muhammed was sent as a guiding light to spread peace, justice, tolerance and coexistence amongst mankind.

The Council also calls on Muslims around the world to follow in the footsteps of Prophet Muhammed and his lofty morals by reviving the sunnah and instilling his teachings into our everyday lives, since it forms the roadmap for humanity's salvation.
