Muslim Council of Elders concludes participation at Frankfurt Book Fair 2022 – Readies for participation at Sharjah International Book Fair

The Muslim Council of Elders has concluded its stellar participation at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2022, which included exhibiting various publications and hosting a number of seminars and lectures featuring prominent scholars and researchers for visitors.

As part of the Council’s ‘Publish to Coexistence’ initiative, it sought to improve cooperation with publishers present at the fair, which is considered to be the largest of its kind in the world. Likewise, the Council has made strides in improving its network of translators by looking to translate some of its publications into various languages, a step which would further help spread the values of tolerance, dialogue and coexistence globally.

The Council will now turn its attention to taking part in the Sharjah International Book Fair in the United Arab Emirates which runs from the 2nd until the 13th of November 2022. It will exhibit some of its most prominent publications including; ‘Al Qawl Al Tayeb’ and ‘Elements of Islam’ by His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders as well as 'Love in the Holy Quran' by His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi bin Mohammed Al Hashemi, member of the Muslim Council of Elders and ‘The Pope and the Grand Imam: A Thorny Path’ by the Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam.

This was the Council’s fourth participation at the Frankfurt Book Fair which ran its course from 19 to 23 October 2022. The participation came as part of His Eminence the Grand Imam’s vision of promoting dialogue and spreading tolerance and peace globally as well as building bridges of cooperation with people of all backgrounds.
