Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade: Bahrain Dialogue Forum is an important step on the road to Human Fraternity


His Virtue Dr. Allahshukur Pashazade, Sheikh-ul-Islam and Grand Mufti of Azerbaijan and the Caucasus and member of the Muslim Council of Elders has remarked that the upcoming Bahrain Dialogue Forum "represents another important step on the road to Human Fraternity and coexistence." 


The Chairman of the Caucasus Muslim Board added, “We were all witnesses to the historic Document on Human Fraternity, which was co-signed by His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders alongside His Holiness Pope Francis, Pontiff of the Catholic Church in Abu Dhabi in 2019. This Document has contributed greatly towards coexistence and mutual respect not only between Muslims and Christians, but also amongst people of different religions and beliefs.”


The Muslim Council of Elders member added, “It is imperative to uphold and support the noble values within this important document, which was signed by two great religious leaders. Likewise, these values must be supported at the highest international levels in order to see true impact on the ground. Therefore, the Bahrain Dialogue Forum represents an important step on the road to human fraternity and coexistence. May Allah grant humanity peace and prosperity and continue to bless human fraternity.”


The Kingdom of Bahrain is set to host the ‘Bahrain Dialogue Forum: East and West for Human Coexistence’ on the 3rd and 4th of November under the patronage of the His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The forum will be attended by His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders and His Holiness Pope Francis, Pontiff of the Catholic Church alongside 200 religious leaders and prominent academic and media figures from around the world.


The Bahrain Dialogue Forum is set to be held in partnership between the Muslim Council of Elders, the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence.
