His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders has offered his utmost condolences to the President of Senegal Macky Sall and the people of the west African nation for the victims of the bus crash which left 40 people dead and dozens injured.

The Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam has also expressed the Council's solidarity and sympathy with the people of Senegal during this difficult period while praying to Almighty Allah to have mercy on those who perished and afford their families patience and to grant the wounded a speedy recovery. To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.
