Muslim Council of Elders offers condolences to Indonesia over Java earthquake victims

The Muslim Council of Elders, chaired by His Eminence Professor Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, offers its sincerest condolences to Indonesia over the victims of the earthquake that shook the country's main island of Java. Dozens of citizens have been killed, hundreds displaced and injured, and many houses and facilities heavily damaged in the quake. 


The Muslim Council of Elders reaffirms its solidarity with the government and people of Indonesia in the aftermath of this natural disaster, praying to Allah Almighty to have mercy upon the deceased and to grant a speedy recovery to the injured.
