The ‘Hokama Peace Academy’ is a program established to train young people from around the world on peacebuilding and coexistence. The program is part of the Muslim Council of Elders’ continued commitment to spreading the values of tolerance, peace and coexistence among the next generation of academics, scholars and leaders.
The first edition of the Hokama Peace Academy will focus on mediation and peaceful dispute-settlement. Participants in the first edition of the Academy have been selected based on their respective knowledge and expertise in the fields of mediation and dispute-settlements and will in turn be trained on more advanced skills within the abovementioned fields. Upon the completion of the course, the Academy aims to inspire and support its participants to establish their own initiatives and projects in the field of mediation within their communities/regions.
