The Muslim Council of Elders presents the book "Concern for Female Rights" at the Cairo International Book Fair 2024

The Muslim Council of Elders' Pavilion at the Cairo International Book Fair 2024 presents the book "Concern for Female Rights" written by Sheikh Mohamed Ben Mustapha Ben Alkhoudja Al-Jazaeri. The book addresses various issues related to women, elucidating their rulings according to the principles of the Islamic religion and its jurisprudence.


The book comprises two sections. The first is a study section where the editor introduces the author, Sheikh Professor Ibn Alkhoudja, providing a brief biography, academic background, scholarly contributions, career path, reform efforts, and academic standing. The editor then presents a concise study about the book "Concern for Female Rights," including its title, attribution verification, purpose, completion date, significance, sources consulted, and a description of the adopted manuscript for editing.


The second section is the critical edition where the editor delves into the content of Ibn Alkhoudja's book "Concern for Female Rights." The book covers various discussions related to women's issues in Islamic legislation, including matters such as marriage, polygamy, the requirement of justice in polygamy, the wisdom behind prohibiting adultery, prohibition of mut'ah, prioritizing marriage over voluntary acts of worship, psychological and social aspects of marriage, women's specific legal prerogatives, equality between men and women in rights and duties, proper conduct in marital relations, the meaning and wisdom of the concept of guardianship, the virtue of righteous and obedient women, urging kindness and good treatment towards wives, etiquette of divorce, its rulings, types, and conditions, rights of divorced women, the concept of hijab and its legislative wisdom, women's education, and the Islamic nation's precedence in the field of education.


The Muslim Council of Elders' pavilion at the Cairo International Book Fair features a diverse collection of publications, along with a series of seminars, activities, and events focused on promoting the values of peace and mutual coexistence among all humanity.


The pavilion is located alongside the Al-Azhar pavilion in Hall 4 at the Egypt International Exhibition and Conference Center in the Fifth Settlement in Cairo.
