Ms. Sawsan Al-Sha'er
She writes for several Bahraini newspapers, including *Al-Watan*, *Bawabat Al-Ain Al-Akhbariya*, and *Asharq Al-Awsat*. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Journalism Award and has also worked as a television presenter. A graduate of Beirut Arab University, she was awarded the First Class Medal of Efficiency by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain in December 2009.
Her other accolades include the Arab Creativity Award for Best Female Journalist from the Arab Media Forum in April 2009, the State Award for National Work in 1993, the Best Social Television Program Award in 1996, and the Best Talk Show Award from the Cairo Festival in 2007.
