Egyptian Writer and Journalist
Mr. Yasser Rizk
He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the *Akhbar El-Youm Foundation*, and was the Editor-in-Chief of *Akhbar El-Youm Gate*, which is issued by the Foundation. He also held the position of Editor-in-Chief at *Al-Masry Al-Youm Newspaper*, *Akhbar El-Youm Newspaper*, and *Maspero* magazine, published by the Egyptian Radio and Television Union, from 2005 to 2011.
He had a long journalism career at *Akhbar El-Youm Gate*, working there for nearly 30 years. He also served as a military editor and as the newspaper's correspondent to the Presidency of the Republic. He authored the book *The Fifty Years: Between January of Anger and June of Salvation*. He graduated from the Faculty of Media at Cairo University.
He passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.
