Journalist Specializing in Digital Media
Mr. Khaled El-Baramawy
He is an Egyptian journalist and digital media writer specializing in new media arts and tools since 2007. He holds a TOT diploma from the Dutch Free Press Unlimited Foundation, studied electronic journalism at the American University on a full scholarship from the American Chamber of Commerce in Cairo in 2003, and has a BA in Arabic Language, Journalism, and Publishing from Al-Azhar University (1999).
He has held key roles, including Director of Digital Media for the CBC Group of Channels, Editor-in-Chief of *Masrawy*, and founder and Editor-in-Chief of *Dot Misr*. He has also worked as a content development consultant for MSN Arabic and was part of the founding team of *Al-Masry Al-Youm’s* digital platform. Currently, he writes weekly for *Al-Masry Al-Youm*, contributes to *Scientific American*, and oversees the Egyptian Editors Forum's weekly issue.
With 18 years in journalism, he began as an economic editor at *Al-Alam Al-Youm*, Egypt's first economic newspaper, later becoming head of department and covering ICT news globally. He has interviewed leaders of major companies like Yahoo, Microsoft, IBM, and Amazon. As a member of several journalist organizations, he has lectured at various Egyptian universities and contributed to launching multiple specialized technology publications, including *PC World Arabic*, *ICT Business*, and *Souq Al-Asr*. He has also worked as a TV reporter and presented programs on Nile News, Al-Mahwar, and CNBC Arabia. Additionally, he co-founded the Arab Forum in Kuwait and the Egyptian Media Forum.
