Rabbi Michael Schudrich


He earned his MA in History from Columbia University in 1982 and has an extensive history of involvement with Jewish communities across Eastern Europe and Asia. From 1983 to 1989, he served as the Rabbi of the Jewish Community of Japan. In June 2000, Rabbi Schudrich returned to Poland, taking on the role of Rabbi of Warsaw and Lodz. In December 2004, he was appointed as the Chief Rabbi of Poland. Rabbi Schudrich represents the Jewish community in Poland as the official liaison with both the Polish government and the Catholic Church.
