Secretary-General of the Middle East Council of Churches - Republic of Lebanon
Her Excellency Dr. Souraya Bechealany
She is the former Secretary General of the Middle East Council of Churches and holds a PhD in Theology from the Jesuit University in Paris, as well as a PhD in Religious Sciences from Saint Joseph University in Beirut. Currently, she serves as a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Religious Sciences at Saint Joseph University in Beirut. Additionally, she is the Secretary and a member of both the Board of Directors and the Editorial Team of the ecumenical magazine *The Near East Christian* (POC), which is published in French.
She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Christian Orient Research and Publications Center (CERPOC), a founding member and Secretary of the Jeanne Corbon Foundation, and a member of the Episcopal Theological and Biblical Committee of the Council of Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops in Lebanon.
