President of the National Evangelical Union in Lebanon
Reverend Dr. Habib Badr
He is the President of the National Evangelical Union in Lebanon and Honorary President of the Middle East Council of Churches. He earned a Ph.D. in Church History from Princeton Theological Seminary in the USA in 1992. Since 1980, he has been a lecturer in Church History at the Near East Theological Seminary in Beirut.
He has served as President of the National Evangelical Union in Lebanon and Pastor of the National Evangelical Church in Beirut since 1985. He became President of the Middle East Council of Churches for the Evangelical Family in 2016, having been a member of its Executive Committee since 1985. From 1985 to 2007, he was also President of the Spiritual Court of the Evangelical Community in Lebanon. Additionally, he has held the position of Vice President of the Association of Evangelical Churches in the Middle East since 2010.
