Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Ghani Shama
Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Ghani Shama is a Professor of Islamic Studies at the Faculty of Languages and Translation at Al-Azhar University and currently serves as the Acting Secretary-General of the Egyptian Family House. He previously held the position of Vice Dean at the Faculty of Islamic Propagation at Al-Azhar University in 1984 before being seconded to Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria and later to Imam Muhammad bin Saud University in Riyadh. He also led the Propagation Department at the Higher Institute for Islamic Propagation.
Dr. Shama has served as a visiting professor at various Arab, Islamic, and foreign universities and has participated in over sixty academic events, including conferences, symposia, and interfaith dialogues in Egypt, Germany, Kazakhstan, and other Islamic countries in Africa and Asia. He currently works full-time as a professor of Islamic Studies in German at the Faculty of Languages and Translation at Al-Azhar University. He has numerous publications, research papers, and studies on Islam and religious dialogue.
