Dr. Ahmad Maher Al-Mahdi was born in Esna on April 2, 1946. He obtained his PhD in Law from Alexandria University in 1982, graduating with a "Very Good" grade with honors. Throughout his career, he held various prominent positions, including serving as a professor and head of the Sharia Department at the Faculty of Law at Alexandria University, as well as heading the Sharia Department at Minya University. He also worked as an associate professor at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh for two years and was a member of the National Committee for Legislative Reform. Additionally, Dr. Al-Mahdi had a significant career in Egyptian radio, eventually becoming the Chief Broadcaster and Director of Implementation at the Holy Quran Radio. He also served as the Editor-in-Chief of *Contemporary Muslim* magazine for 20 years. Dr. Al-Mahdi passed away in October 2020, leaving behind a legacy of contributions to law, education, and Islamic media.
