His Excellency Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim
His Excellency Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim is a Kuwaiti politician. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with honors from Seattle University, USA. He served as the Speaker of the 14th National Assembly from 2013 to 2016, the 15th from 2016 to 2020, and the 16th from 2020 to 2023. He was a member of the Kuwait National Assembly from June 20, 2023, until February 15, 2024, having previously served as a member from July 12, 2006, to October 7, 2012. He was also a member of the Arab Transitional Parliament. In October 2017, during the 137th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly held in St. Petersburg, Russia, His Excellency Marzouq Al-Ghanim fiercely rebuked the Israeli parliamentary delegation. He angrily gestured for them to leave the hall, saying: "I say to the oppressive occupiers, if you have no shame, do as you wish. You, angry occupiers! Take your bags and leave the hall, after seeing the reactions of all the respected parliaments from around the world! Get out of the hall now, if you have a shred of respect, you conquerors, you child murderers!"
