Dr. Izzat Jaradat
Dr. Izzat Jaradat was born in Bishra, Irbid in 1940, and holds a PhD in Education from Columbia University, New York. He served as Jordan's Minister of Education from 1999 to 2000. His career in education includes roles as a teacher, director, assistant secretary-general, and secretary-general. Dr. Jaradat is the Secretary General of the Islamic Jerusalem Conference in Amman, Jordan, and the Co-Secretary General of the Islamic-Christian Authority in Amman, Jordan. He chairs the Jerusalem and Palestine Committee of the International Islamic Council in Cairo and presides over the Board of Trustees at Irbid National University. Dr. Jaradat is also a member of various boards including the Board of Directors of the American University Alumni Association, the World Affairs Association, the Arab Thought Forum (ATF), and the Jerusalem Protection Association. He has worked as an international educational expert for UNESCO in developing educational systems in various Arab and foreign countries.
