Professor of International Law and UN Expert
Prof. Dr. Yassin El-Ayouty
Prof. Dr. Yassin El-Ayouty, a distinguished law professor and consultant, earned his PhD from New York University in 1966. He served as a respected professor at Nova Southeastern University in Florida, USA from 1966 to 2004. He also worked at the United Nations Secretariat from 1954 to 1986, where he retired as a political director. His role was instrumental in the founding of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) in 1965 and he also served as the Head of Training at the UN from 1965 to 1972. Additionally, in 1998 he founded and led the global legal and judicial training organization, SUNGLOW. Dr. El-Ayouty passed away in June 2023.
