His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian


His educational and professional journey includes:

- He completed his secondary education at Al-Azhar Lebanon in Beirut and earned a higher degree in Da'wah and the Fundamentals of Religion from the Islamic University of Medina in 1976 with first-class honors. 
- He continued his postgraduate studies at Al-Azhar University in Egypt and Ain Shams University in Cairo, obtaining a diploma in education in 1977, alongside various degrees in Islamic sciences from distinguished scholars.

He held several positions, including:

1. Secretary to the Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, the martyred Mufti Sheikh Hassan Khaled, in 1988.
2. General Director of Dr. Muhammad Khaled Social Institutions in 1987.
3. Acting General Director of Islamic Endowments in 1990.
4. Beirut Sharia Judge in 1991.
5. Advisor to the Supreme Sunni Sharia Court in 1999.
6. President and General Manager of the Supreme Sunni Sharia Courts in Lebanon since 2005.
7. President of the Disciplinary Council for Sharia Court Employees in 2005.
8. Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mutual Fund for Judges of Sunni, Jaafari, and Sectarian Sharia Courts in 2005 and 2009.
9. Lecturer in Legal Studies, Personal Status, History of Islamic Legislation, and Principles of Jurisprudence at Beirut Arab University.
