Prof. Dr. Anthony Kurban


He holds a Doctor of Medicine, Surgery, and Obstetrics and served as Head of the Mission to Lebanon for Doctors of the World from 1988 to 1990. He is a Professor of Human Anatomy at Saint Joseph University and previously served as Professor of the History and Philosophy of Sciences and Head of the Department of Medicine and Human Sciences at Saint Joseph University from 2005 to 2013. He also lectures at the University of Religious Sciences (Saint Joseph University), focusing on Religions and Intercultural Dialogue.

Since 2005, he has been a journalist and editor for L'Orient-Le Jour (Beirut) and An-Nahar newspaper (Beirut). He has also been the Editor-in-Chief of theatrical works at Saint Joseph University’s "Actions and Days" since 2016. He has been a Visiting Professor at Paris Diderot University since 2008 and is a member of the Georges Gendelhem Center for the History and Philosophy of Science at Paris Diderot University (since 2000), as well as a member of the Ferdinand Gonseth Foundation for the Theory of Open Knowledge (Lausanne). He is part of the French Medical College of Professors of Morphology in French Universities.
