Former Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites - Jordan
His Excellency Dr. Abdel Nasser Abu Al Basal
He served as the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Holy Places in Jordan in both the Hani Al-Mulki and Omar Al-Razzaz governments from February 25, 2018, to November 7, 2019. Prior to his ministerial role, he was the President of the University of Islamic Sciences and has taught at several Jordanian universities.
He holds a PhD in Islamic Jurisprudence and Policy from the University of Al-Zaytouna in Tunisia and has been a Professor in the Department of Islamic Economics and Banking. He served as Dean of the Faculty of Sharia at both Yarmouk University and the University of Sharjah. He is also a member of various jurisprudential assemblies, advisory bodies, boards of trustees, and councils of preaching and guidance. Additionally, he served as the President of the International Islamic Sciences and Education University in Amman.
