Former Minister of Awqaf of Jordan
His Excellency Dr. Wael Mohammed Abdullah Arabiyat
He served as the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Holy Places in Hani Mulki's first government (June 1, 2016 - September 25, 2016) and continued in the same role in Mulki's second government until the fifth ministerial reshuffle on February 25, 2018, when he left the government team. He has been the President of the World Islamic Sciences and Education University since September 16, 2019.
He holds a PhD, Master's, and Bachelor's degree in Islamic Jurisprudence and its Principles from the University of Jordan's Faculty of Sharia. His areas of specialization include jurisprudence and its principles, Islamic economics, and Islamic banking.
His publications include "Islamic Banks and Economic Institutions... Theory and Application."
