He is the President of the Pontifical Theological Institute John Paul II for the Sciences of Marriage and Family. Previously, he served as the Dean of the Catholic Institute of Paris (ICP) from 2011 to 2021 and as President of the International Conference of Catholic Theological Institutions.
He earned a joint doctorate in theology from the Catholic Institute of Paris and in the history and anthropology of religions from the Sorbonne University in 2001. He has taught moral theology at the Catholic Institute of Paris for over twenty years and has been a full professor since 2002. He also served as President of the Federation of the Five French Catholic Universities and was a member of the Advisory Committee on Higher Education for the French Ministry of Universities and Research.
He is the author of several books, including *Joy and Hope* (2010) and *The Ethics of Marriage: The Social Call to Love* (2010).
