He is a visiting professor at several Arab and international universities and serves as the Secretary General of the Mauritanian Philosophical Association for Philosophical Studies. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of several Arab and international research and intellectual institutions and writes a weekly intellectual column for the Emirati newspaper *Al-Ittihad*. He is also a certified expert in social and development studies at various international organizations and was formerly the Head of Cultural Programs at the Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization.
He holds a PhD in Modern and Contemporary Philosophy from the University of Tunisia. Among his notable publications are *Religion and Identity: Problems of Conflict, Dialogue and Authority*, *The New Arab Revolutions: Path and Destiny*, and *Leaders of Arab Thought: An Introduction to the Current Map of Arab Thought*.
