Khaled Abou Bakr

Khaled Abu Bakr graduated from Cairo University's Faculty of Law in 1997 and joined the Egyptian Bar Association in 1998. In 2001, he sought French accreditation from the Bar Academy in Paris. However, at that time, the French and Egyptian bar associations did not have a mutual accreditation agreement, a necessary condition for registration with the academy. Khaled Abu Bakr was the first lawyer to work closely with the President of the Paris Bar Association to prepare and sign the first cooperation agreement between Egypt and France in the legal profession in 2002. He received his accreditation in France and also became a member of the International Young Lawyers (AIJA) in Brussels.

In 2003, Abu Bakr was appointed the Coordinator of External Relations for International Justice Affairs in Paris. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Egyptian-French Businessmen Association, and the International Bar Association in London.

A decision was issued by the Supreme Council of French Trade Unions to register him, as he pleaded before the Court of Appeals in Paris in 2004.

From 2004 to 2011 he was a researcher in Criminal Law, Labor Law, International Business Law, and Family Law at the Institut d'Études Judiciaires in Paris. In 2004, he was also selected as a certified lawyer for the Egyptian Courts of Appeal and the State Council. In 2006, he was selected as a certified lawyer for the French Consulate in Cairo, and was elected as a member of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFE) in Egypt in 2008.
