Tamer Amin holds a Bachelor's degree in Languages from the Faculty of Al-Alsun, majoring in English and Spanish, in 1996. Initially working in tourism, he eventually transitioned to media, where he found his calling. Starting his career at Nile News Channel, he became a prominent news anchor and program presenter, hosting notable shows such as Al-Hudood Al-Multahiba (‘Burning Borders’), Termometer (‘Thermometer’), Sonaa’ Al-Tareekh (‘Makers of History’), Al-Neel You’aniq (‘The Nile Embraces’), and Al-Bu’d Al-‘Akhar (‘The Other Dimension’), along with the show titled Bil-Bunt Al-Sagheer (‘In Small Print’).

Amin gained significant recognition as the host of the popular program Masr Al-Nahardah (‘Egypt Today’) (formerly El Beit Beitak) on The Egyptian Satellite TV Channel. The show quickly gained widespread acclaim across the Arab world, marking a pivotal moment in Amin’s career. He left the program in April 2011 and briefly joined the newly launched LTB Channel, but soon departed due to administrative issues. A few months after that, he joined Al-Mehwar + Channel, where he hosted Tahya Misr (‘Long Live Egypt’) until the program was put on indefinite hold after Eid Al-Fitr in 2012. In 2013, Amin moved to Rotana Masriya Channel, where he presented Sa’a Masriya (‘Egyptian Hour’) and later Min Al-‘Akher (‘The Bottom Line’). After leaving Rotana, he announced his move to Al-Hayah TV Network, co-hosting Al-Hayah Al-Youm alongside Lobna Assal. In 2022, he joined MBC Masr 2 to co-host the show Al-‘Asherah Masa’an (‘10pm’) with Mona Iraqi. Currently, he is the presenter of a live show called ‘Akher Al-Nahar (‘The End of the Day’) on the Egyptian Al-Nahar Channel.
