His Excellency President Mahamadou Issoufou


His Excellency President Mahamadou Issoufou is a member of the Muslim Council of Elders. His Excellency served as the President of the Republic of Niger from 2011 to 2021. He has also been the Prime Minister of Niger, the Speaker of Parliament, and a Deputy in Parliament. He was a jury panel member for the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity 2022. He was also honored with the Mo Ibrahim Foundation’s Ibrahim Prize for Achievement in African Leadership, one of the most prestigious African awards granted to leaders for good governance, and is considered one of Africa’s prominent leaders, especially in light of all his efforts in supporting peace in Africa.
