Aaron Tyler is a professor in international relations and global affairs at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, USA. He received his doctorate in Religion, Politics and Society from Baylor University. Dr. Tyler’s research interests focus on political and religious theories on tolerance and the contributive potential of faith-based civil organizations in conflict transformation and dialogue initiatives. His work has appeared in such journals as the Journal of Political Theology, Journal of Religion and Politics, Journal of Interreligious Studies, Journal of Culture and Politics, and International Journal of Christianity and Social Work. He is also the author of Islam, the West, and Tolerance: Conceiving Coexistence.
