After the Muslim Council of Elders’ successful participation in book fairs across the Arab world, the Council’s General Secretariat chose to expand its presence internationally by participating in some of the world’s most prestigious literary events. The London Book Fair (LBF), in its 47th edition, was selected as a key platform where ideas from East and West intersect, and where cultural and literary initiatives are shared. With around 2,500 publishers from 118 countries in attendance, the Council’s representatives met with a range of international publishers, as well as leaders of institutions dedicated to promoting peace, tolerance, and coexistence through literature and publications.
